The Moomin 80 collection celebrates the values that connect us to the Moomin stories – the feelings of love, friendship, and acceptance. The most central lesson from the Moomin stories is indeed that the time spent with family and friends is invaluable.

The illustration of the Moomin family’s happy reunion in front of the Moominhouse is based on Tove Jansson’s comic Moomin and Family Life from 1955. In this story, Moominmamma and Moominpappa rescue Moomintroll from the waves of the sea. Soon, they realize Moomintroll is their long-lost son, and the family can return home together.
