A gorgeous yellow-coloured Hemulen Moomin mug from the Moomin Classics collection shows. The back side features the Hemulen holding a dry branch that he will use to build a bonfire to dry his dress that got soaked in the rain. The hemulen is not just one character but a group of tall, long-snouted creatures belonging to the hemulen species. The Hemulen featured in the yellow classics dishes is a naturalist collecting plants and planning to put together the finest herbarium in the world. The illustrations are based on Jansson’s novel ‘Finn Family Moomintroll’, originally published in 1948.
